Graded 40 VG 3 by SGC. Less than a decade before his suspicious death in 1903, a mid-career representation of Big Ed Delehanty is found with this 1895 N300 Mayo's Cut Plug cornerstone. The Ohio native is pictured on this antiquity, which was released during a season in which the Hall of Famer amassed a remarkable .500 on-base percentage. The crease-free example displays moderate corner and edge wear along with light color fading on the obverse. The pitch-black reverse displays typical perimeter chipping which does not adversely affect the visual appeal. As one of only (23) Delehanty specimens to have been assessed by the third-party authenticator, this card of the Phillies slugger is a sure-fire winner.
