Elevated to full-time status in 1977, former backstop Marc Hill wore this San Francisco Giants road jersey. In the style's only season, the orange knit pullover garment features "SAN FRANCISCO" arched across the chest in black-on-white twill, "2" sewn to the back and left front and "HILL" arched just atop the back. Hill has signed below the latter identifier. The manufacturer's tag has been removed, and though the numbers are original, the team and player names are restorations. Full photo LOA from Dave Miedema. Full description on our website.
This bright-orange knit pullover jersey features orange-white-and-black stretch knit lining a sleeve endings and V-neck. The jersey was tailored by Wilson, though that company's label has been removed from t=within the collar. On the left front tail, a swatch has chain stitched identifiers of "2" (uniform number) and "77" (year). The team name and player name are quality restorations, though both numeric identifiers are original and exhibit moderate to heavy wear in the form of puckering and fading. Additionally, the sleeves has been custom cut/hemmed to facilitate comfort. Hill, incidentally, belted a career-best nine home runs that season. Note: the LOA from Dave Miedema attests to the jersey's status as game-worn. There is no documentation regarding the authenticity of the autograph.
