While Chris Sabo's 1991 "Turn Back the Clock" knit Cincinnati Reds ensemble doesn't match the fabric and feel of the 1957-1960 garments it represents, Sabo's own fiery style was, in fact, reminiscent to the stars of old. Worn and signed during a 1991 contest, the uniform includes: Signed Jersey gray knit, #17 with proper "Rawlings" tagging; autograph shows ("9-10") strength; Pants gray knit, size "32." These show light wear. Additional items showing little or no wear are listed on our website. Full photo LOA from Dave Miedema (for uniform authenticity only).
Jersey a gray knit vest with the club's "C" logo sewn to the left breast in red twill and "17" sewn to the back and right breast in like fashion. Just below the "C" logo, Sabo's black Sharpie autograph projects ("9-10") quality. Within the collar, a "Rawlings" size "42" label is accompanied by a swatch with "SABO" embroidered in red. On the tapered left front tail, a "Rawlings" size "42" label is sewn near a lengthy strip tag with an embroidered legend that reads: "1991 NOSTALGIA GAME SPECIAL."
Pants gray knit leg wear with a two-button zippered fly, (6) belt loops, (2) nylon-lined back pockets and red piping down the outer legs. Within the elasticized waistband, a "Rawlings" size "32" label is sewn alongside a strip tag with an embroidered legend reading: "1991 NOSTALGIA GAME SPECIAL - SABO."
Undershirt a white cotton pullover garment with red sleeves and a "Rawlings" trademark screened to the left breast. Within the collar, a "Rawlings' label denotes size "LARGE."
The above-mentioned items show light wear, with scattered stains. Also issued to Sabo but showing little or no wear are a wool cap (size "7-1/8"); (2) pairs of stirrups (one with tag still on); and a red leather belt.
